WASTECON 2008 Registration Open
WASTECON 2008 Registration Brochure Available to the Public

Silver Spring, MD (May 5, 2008) —The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) released the registration brochure for WASTECON 2008 today.  WASTECON, SWANA’s biggest annual event, is the only international solid waste trade show for and by solid waste professionals, and the industry has been excitedly awaiting details of the 2008 conference and show.

This year’s WASTECON is focused on reducing our carbon footprint, and SWANA has purchased carbon offset credits to make the entire event carbon neutral.  The brochure features a Carbon Calculator, designed by HDR, to assist attendees in estimating their carbon footprints for travel and lodging for WASTECON 2008.  For a minimal fee added onto registration, SWANA is also offering to purchase carbon offset credits for attendees who want to make their travel to WASTECON carbon neutral.

“We are excited about WASTECON 2008 and are dedicated to providing the quality technical programs, trade show, and educational opportunities that WASTECON attendees have learned to expect while living up to our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint,” said SWANA CEO and Executive Director John H. Skinner, Ph.D.

The WASTECON brochure includes a conference schedule that includes the WASTECON 2008 technical program, training options, facility tours, guest tours, networking opportunities and more.  The brochure is downloadable and is available at www.WASTECON.org, along with more conference information and updates. Register online today at the early rate and save at www.WASTECON.org.
