September 21, 2006 (Charlotte, NC)—WASTECON 2006 came to an end on Thursday as SWANA and the solid waste field bid farewell to Charlotte, North Carolina.
“This year’s show was a great success for everyone who attended,” commented SWANA Executive Director and CEO, John Skinner, Ph.D., continuing “The show floor was well attended, the technical sessions and training events were full, and the various networking events successfully brought thousands of solid waste professionals together.”

Silver Spring, MD (Sept. 6, 2006)—The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) is pleased to announce over 45 first-time exhibitors at WASTECON 2006 in Charlotte, NC. This year’s exhibit floor offers over 225 exhibits covering over 50,000 square feet of exhibits along with three pavilions: organics, recycled products, and electronics recycling.
