Version 2 SWANA's eLibrary is now available to all SWANA members.

On June 1, 2006 we launched version 2 of SWANA's eLibrary, the most recent update to our ever-expanding suite of electronic services for members.  The SWANA eLibrary is open and accessible to ALL SWANA MEMBERS, this FREE service for members is full-text searchable by key word, web-based electronic document retrieval and download service (in .pdf format) for a wide range of SWANA documents, publications, and technical resources.  Based on feedback, we are very optimistic that this service will have great appeal to existing membership for research and informational purposes, and serve as an excellent marketing tool for attracting new members.

At present, the system contains well over 275 indexed documents from the published proceedings for SWANA's 2004 Technical Symposia, WASTECON 2004, and the 2005 Technical Symposia to date.  These documents include - full technical papers, PowerPoint presentations (all in PDF format).  New for Version 2 is a new user interface, plus the addition of SWANA Technical and  Management & Administrative Policies, SWANA Legislative & Advocacy Reports.  Future plans call for the addition of older published SWANA proceedings prior to 2004 and more.   The ultimate goal is to offer as many resources as possible to SWANA members online within an organized, user-friendly, logical framework.  This effort to get the documents online and organized has been directed by SWANA's  Technical Programs Department.  We will continue to improve the user interface, the organization of documents, add more search options, and continue to add more documents.  

As stated before, Version 2 of the SWANA eLibrary  is available to all SWANA members.  You can find the link to the eLibrary on the SWANA Members Only page.  Go to www.SWANA.org enter your SWANA Members Only username and password. 

When the members only section opens you will see a link to the eLibrary among the links on the left side of the page.
