SWANA has been committed to providing the highest quality training in the solid waste industry for over 40 years.  Today, SWANA offers more training options than ever, including:

• SWANA Training Centers and Chapter Training: Held at SWANA events or hosted by SWANA Chapters, training centers offer traditional classroom learning with courses taught by SWANA Certified faculty members. 

• SWANA eLearning: SWANA offers a variety of education options that you can take advantage of without ever leaving your desk. Want to participate but have a scheduling conflict? All sessions are also available as recordings.

eSessions - Individual online training sessions led by industry leaders or SWANA faculty members. Sessions topics and lengths vary, and participants receive 1-2 CEUs per session.

eSeries - A group of eSessions that can be purchased as a package. For example, SWANA now offers certification courses online, and you have the option of buying the entire series (best value!) or just  the sessions most relevant to you.  MOLO,  Recycling ,  Composting, and Transfer Station courses are currently available. CEUs are awarded per individual session.

eCourses - Self-paced courses that can be completed online at your convenience. Participants earn 15-20 CEUs by completing the online exam at the end of the course.

• SWANA Training@Work: These user-friendly training packages allow you to train your staff in your workplace at your own pace. Or, have a SWANA faculty member come to you! CEU values range from 10-30 per course. For more information, please email training@swana.org.

• SWANA Training@Home: Continue your education individually at your own pace from the comfort and convenience of your home or office. Home Study packages include a manual to review at your own pace and an exam to receive credit for the course. Earn 10 CEUs per packages.
