- During FY2009, the ARF Collection Group will continue its objective of expanding its benchmarking database for solid waste collection services.

Recyclables Processing and Revenue Sharing Contracts
- The research need that will be addressed by the FY09 Recycling Group was submitted by North Vancouver, BC and is described as follows:
- “With Asian demand driving paper prices up, municipalities that contract out their recyclables processing and marketing may be losing a lot of money by not instituting a revenue sharing agreement. What are the various options available to municipalities?”

The Bioreactor Landfill Practice – An Update For Solid Waste Managers
- During FY 2009, the ARF Disposal Group will develop an update of the state of the practice of bioreactor landfills. This update will be targeted toward the needs and concerns of solid waste managers with a focus on the identification of benefits, issues, performance measurements and costs.
